RUMOUR | Siya Kolisi a top target for Premiership club

Inspirational World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi has once again been linked with a move to the Gallagher Premiership

The openside was previously linked with Bath, Sale Sharks and Saracens back in 2018, but decided to remain in South Africa after being appointed skipper, becoming the first black man to hold the position.

A year later, he led the team to victory in the 2019 Rugby World Cup Final against England.

According to RUCK sources, Wasps want to sign the 29-year-old, who could make a move to the Ricoh Arena as the black and golds marquee signing ahead of the 2021/22 season.

A lot of big names have departed the club in recent times with Elliot Daly, Willie le Roux, Nathan Hughes and many more leaving.

With a larger chunk amount of the salary cap available to play with in the transfer market, there is a desire to bring a ‘legit global superstar to the club’.

Reports in France suggest they face significant competition from Montpellier and Racing to sign the back-rower.

1. David Pocock

Hot on the heels of landing fly half Danny Cipriani for 2015/16 season, Wasps reportedly made an audacious attempt to bring David Pocock to the Premiership in a potential deal that would make the Australia flanker the highest paid rugby player in the world.

According to The Telegraph, they would offer him a package in excess of the £1.4 million. This would have been one of the biggest transfers ever.
