Sale Sharks have announced that the Salford Community Stadium will officially be renamed the CorpAcq Stadium from the start of the 2025/26 Gallagher PREM Rugby season.

The multi-year agreement with Altrincham-based CorpAcq, one of the North West’s fastest-growing businesses, marks a significant moment for the club both on and off the pitch. Founded in 2006, CorpAcq manages a portfolio of more than 50 companies with combined revenues of over £900 million and earlier this year was acquired by leading private equity firm TDR Capital LLP.
Sharks supporters will already be familiar with the CorpAcq brand, which previously featured on the back of the club’s shirts during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons. The business has also been a long-standing supporter of the Sharks Academy, helping to develop the next generation of rugby stars.
From the opening fixture of the new season against Gloucester on Thursday, 25 September, the CorpAcq name will be visible across the stadium – including prominently on the front of the West Stand and on the roof of the North Stand, overlooking Barton Bridge on the M60.

Sale Sharks reaction

Chief Executive Paul Smith hailed the deal as a milestone moment:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome CorpAcq to the Sharks Family as our official stadium naming partner in what is a highly significant partnership for the club.
“We’ve enjoyed a long-standing relationship with CorpAcq and we’re excited to take that to the next level. CorpAcq’s commitment to supporting Sharks for the long term is clear, and together we hope to create opportunities for growth on and off the pitch.
“As one of the North West’s fastest-growing businesses, CorpAcq is deeply rooted in the region and that aligns perfectly with our values as a club. With CorpAcq’s backing, we want to build on recent success, deliver an even better matchday experience, and continue to grow rugby union across the North West.”

CorpAcq’s commitment

CorpAcq CEO David Martin said the new deal reflects shared values between business and sport:
“As a business, we’ve supported Sale Sharks for many years, and we’re delighted to extend that relationship as the club’s official Stadium Naming Partner.
“The Sharks are more than our local Premiership Rugby team, they represent values that matter to us as a business: resilience, teamwork and excellence. This partnership reflects our commitment to championing a high-performance culture – both on the pitch and off it in the business world – and we are all excited about the journey ahead.”

What it means for fans

The naming deal also means the CorpAcq branding will no longer be displayed at the Sharks’ former home, Heywood Road, where Sale FC Rugby are set to announce a new stadium partner in the coming days. For Sharks fans, the re-brand is another sign of the club’s continued ambition to strengthen its commercial base, enhance match day experiences, and cement rugby union’s growth across the North West.
