England international lock Nick Isiekwe is set to sign a new contract with Saracens despite their relegation to the Championship in a dramatic turnaround.
The second-row, who has been linked to Gloucester, Harlequins and Sale Sharks, will now sign a new deal to remain in North London, according to RUCK sources.
He will depart the club next season on loan though with our understanding being that he favours a temporary move to Gloucester.
The Cherry & Whites had been keen to sign the lock outright but remain interested in a loan move while Sale only wanted to do a permanent deal.

Meanwhile, Vincent Koch discussed a move to Sale and Scarlets but is understood to have decided to remain with Saracens until the end of the 2021/22 season and will not go on loan next season.
It will not all be outgoings, however, with Wales international scrum-half Aled Davies set to join from Ospreys, having also been a target for Bath.
The 27-year-old was part of Wales’ World Cup squad last year but he has played no part in the current Six Nations under new boss Wayne Pivac.
