Semesa Rokoduguni left out after man-of-the-match display

  • Semesa Rokoduguni has been left out of the England squad to play Argentina on Saturday
  • This is despite his man-of-the-match display against Fiji on Saturday
  • Rokoduguni and Saracens full-back Alex Goode will go back to their clubs
England have retained 24 players to prepare for Saturday’s game against Argentina at Twickenham Stadium.

One surprise omission from the group is Bath winger Semesa Rokoduguni, who scored two tries against Fiji last weekend. Saracens full-back Alex Goode has also been released.



The group of 24 include recently recalled Saracens forward George Kruis who has now recovered from an ankle injury having missed the first two November matches.

England are without second-row forward Joe Launchbury following his ban of two weeks.

Charlie Ewels, who won his first cap for England during Saturday’s 58-15 victory over Fiji, is also retained. Flanker Tom Wood and winger Jonny May, who were not included last weekend, are included in the 24.



England head coach Eddie Jones will name his side to face Argentina on Thursday.
