Sir Clive Woodward makes his pick to replace Eddie Jones

Former England boss Sir Clive Woodward has picked his choice to succeed the severely under-pressure Eddie Jones.

England RFU chief executive Bill Sweeney hasn’t ruled out a possible coaching change following their disastrous fifth place finish in the 2021 Six Nations.

“This guy Robertson I don’t know, but crikey I just get a really good feeling about him,” Woodward, who won the 2003 World Cup title with England, said.

“Clearly, he’s a winner, he’s successful, he’s very good with people.

“Would I like to play for him? Yes, without even knowing him, just from seeing the way his team plays.

“That would be really interesting on so many fronts.”

According to The Rugby Paper the England Rugby Football Union has “sounded out” Gatland to take over from Jones, who is on the coaching hot seat. The paper is also reporting Gatland is “house hunting” in the Twickenham area.
