It’s Round 4 of the Six Nations, and we’ve got a tasty bet for you lined up on RUCK via Paddy Power!
We’ve lumped £15 on at 8/1 treble…and we’re already planning how to spend our winnings.
The £120 winnings might actually get us one round of drinks in when we’re in Dublin.
Ireland to beat Wales (-3 handicap)
You could go either way on this – but we’ve picked Ireland with a -3 handicap at evens.
We were definitely tempted to take Wales at +3 but we’d be basing that solely on their home advantage.
The hosts, who have lost to England and Scotland thus far, failed to get a bonus-point score against Italy on the opening weekend and have massively underperformed.
We fully expect Joe Schmidt’s men to win and set up a championship decider in Dublin next weekend.
England to beat Scotland (-11 handicap)
Make no mistake, Scotland are a much-improved side and deserve all the hype they’ve been getting.
Nevertheless, just as England have begun getting key players back, the Scots have lost a number of key players to injury, including captain Greig Laidlaw as well as fierce back-rowers John Hardie and Josh Strauss.
There’ll only be one score between the sides around the sixty-minute mark but England’s superior ‘finishers’ will overpower the spirited visitors in the latter stages.
This makes the -11 handicap at evens a very attractive punt.
France to beat Italy (-17 handicap)
The big question is ‘by how many’?
Their fitness, lack of squad depth and lack of confidence probably mean France will take maximum points from and overcome the -17 handicap.
