15 Rob Kearney: Generally outstanding in the air – it’s a bird, it’s a plane, etc – and carried hard. Still has a lot of gas in the tank despite his advancing years. 7/10
14 Keith Earls: Secured the try-scoring bonus-point for Ireland after just 35 minutes with a reasonably simple finish. Showed fantastic acceleration and great composure to make it easy for himself though. Oustanding try-saving tackle to deny Italy a try-scoring bonus-point right at the end. 8/10
13 Robbie Henshaw: The centre caught a bullet throw from Conor Murray to open the scoring early on. He then went on to play a starring role in some glorious rugby from the men in green before getting his second try early in the second half. Worryingly departed with an elbow or shoulder injury after his second score. 8.5/10
12 Bundee Aki: Answered any doubters this week with a superb display. Power, pace and precision throughout. Brilliant try and a sublime assist for Earls score. 8/10
11 Jacob Stockdale: Got away with a blatantly late 'tackle' in a poor opening 40. Was much better in the second half, scoring two tries. 7.5/10
10 Johnny Sexton: No late dramatics needed this week, but was perfect from the tee and kicked with pinpoint accuracy in the 50 minutes he was on. 8/10
9 Conor Murray: The playmaker ran the show and scored a try. Yet another fine performance from the best No.9 in the world. Took off with the game won after 50 minutes. 9/10
8 Jack Conan: Winning only his sixth cap, the Leinster man showed soft hands to set up Conor Murray's try. Gets better with every game for Ireland. 8/10
7 Dan Leavy: Not afraid to get his hands dirty at the ruck and has some engine. Was caught out for the Italy try. 7/10
6 Peter O’Mahony: The Lion bruised and bullied Italy at the ruck all afternoon. 7.5/10
5 Devin Toner: Put in some crunching hits and was a good option for Best at the lineout. 7/10
4 Iain Henderson: Another fine performance. 7/10
3 Tadhg Furlong: Forced off with a suspected hamstring injury after just three minutes. N/A
2 Rory Best (c): Was perfect in the set piece and showed some good hands when Ireland was on the front foot and got a deserved first Test try in five years. 8.5/10
1 Jack McGrath: Came in for Cian Healey and didn't put a foot wrong. Joe Schmidt has a tough selection between these two premier looseheads in two weeks time when Ireland face Wales. 7/10
