Springbok captain Siya Kolisi looks set to cut short his stint with the Sharks and head back to Cape Town.
According to News24, Kolisi has agreed to rejoin the Stormers once the current Vodacom URC season wraps up.
Durban initially wanted the 34-year-old to see out his contract, but they’ve finally given the green light.
Kolisi, who started his pro career with the Stormers before spells at the Sharks and France’s Racing 92, has been keen to return home—closer to his kids following his divorce from Rachel.
The Sharks, who forked out R17-million to free Kolisi from Racing, weren’t keen to lose such a marquee signing. But circumstances have changed, and the move is now on.
The news has already been shared with his Sharks teammates, who have been riding a wave of improved form under interim coach JP Pietersen.

Manu Tuilagi – England to Samoa
The 34-year-old has won 60 England caps but would only be eligible for Samoa at the next World Cup. Tuilagi has admitted a switch would depend on whether he can still compete at the highest level.
Benhard Janse van Rensburg – South Africa to England
The Bristol Bears centre played for South Africa U20s but has never featured at senior level. After cutting ties with the Springboks, he could qualify for England via residency, subject to World Rugby approval.
David Ribbans – England to South Africa
The lock last played for England at the 2023 World Cup and will be eligible to switch next year. However, Ribbans has played down the idea, insisting his desire remains to represent England again.
