After being released by Bristol the 11 cap Irish international was quickly signed by French Top 14 side Stade Francais who he played for until the end of the season. Now the 6ft 5in lock is in search of a new club once again.

The All Blacks great decided not to extend his contract with Toulon stating that he wants some personal time to mull over his future in the game. If he makes himself available there will surely be a queue a mile long for the World Cup winner.

It’s a mystery why hasn't already been snapped up. It surely won’t be long before he is playing professional rugby once more. Questions have been asked about his attitude but with his unquestionable ability there will be clubs in the hunt for his signature.

He wants to keep playing but he doesn’t have a contract after his departure from the Ospreys and that has forced him to contemplate a possibility that a power-packed player in his prime at 26 really shouldn’t be contemplating.
