Scotland lock undergoes surgery after suffering injury against Samoa

Tim Swinson has seen hand specialist Doug Campbell and has successfully undergone surgery after injuring his finger on international duty in last weekend’s win against Samoa.

The second-row is expected to remain on the sidelines for a minimum of four months.

Rob Harley, who injured his knee training with Scotland last week, does not require surgery and is expected to be out for up to four weeks.

Meanwgukem, Matt Fagerson does not require surgery on a knee injury sustained in Glasgow’s game against Leinster earlier this month.

The 19-year-old will be reviewed at BMI Ross Hall Hospital next week, but is expected to be out of action for around two months.

Centre Paddy Kelly has fully recovered from his ankle injury and will play club rugby this weekend.
