“Thought it was 1st April” – England fans slam ‘strange’ Eddie Jones selection

Head coach Eddie Jones has named his England side to play France in the Guinness Six Nations this weekend.

Jones said: “This is our strongest 23 for the game against France. We are disappointed not to be in the contention for the trophy but last week’s effort against Ireland was full of pride, energy and tactical discipline.

“We have focused on refreshing the team this week and we are ready to empty the tank on Saturday.”

However, fans clearly disagreed with the overwhelming response to his selection being negative.

“Embarrassing” – Four of the biggest Six Nations flops

#1. Finn Russell (Scotland)

Russell can take heart if consistency really is the hallmark of the unimaginative. The Scotland fly-half is a man who, on a good day, can turn a game with a heavenly flash of inspiration. But there are other afternoons when entire matches seem to pass him by and that pretty much sums up his Six Nations.
