Alex Samuel, Kyle Steyn and Rory Darge have been ruled out of Scotland’s Test against Fiji at Murrayfield on Saturday through injury.

Steyn and Darge both started in last weekend’s 42-28 defeat to South Africa in Pretoria but will miss the clash with Fiji.
Steyn has been sidelined with a foot injury, while Darge is unavailable after failing a head injury assessment at half-time in Pretoria.
It will be the first match either player has missed this year after both featured in the starting XV throughout the Guinness Men’s Six Nations and the opening two rounds of the Nations Championship.
Playing in the country of his birth, Steyn endured a difficult afternoon. He struggled under the high ball and missed a golden opportunity after collecting a Tom Jordan cross-kick.
Samuel was originally named in the matchday 23 to face South Africa but was forced to withdraw because of a knee injury.
After the match, Gregor Townsend confirmed the 23-year-old will require surgery, with the lock expected to be out for several weeks.
Scotland have not yet called up any replacements ahead of Saturday’s fixture, which will see Fiji act as the home side despite the match being played at Murrayfield.
Fiji have lost both of their Nations Championship matches so far, including a 73-8 defeat to England at the Hill Dickinson Stadium last weekend.
Scotland, meanwhile, will be eager to build on a spirited display against South Africa, which came after an impressive victory over Argentina.
Townsend’s side will hope to turn those encouraging performances into another result and answer any lingering questions about their consistency.
