REPORTS | England fly-half now set for Wales call-up

A year on, a lot has changed since that uncapped game, and the 24-year-old has established himself as Bristol's first choice number 10 since Ian Madigan departed.

Sheedy produced yet another polished display last night as he guided Bristol to a 56-17 European Challenge Cup quarter-final victory over the Dragons at Ashton Gate.

And, with the former Wales U18 and Ireland U19 lighting up the Gallagher Premiership, the 24-year-old could now be pulling on the red jersey once again.

Born in Cardiff, Wales, Sheedy qualified for Ireland through his parents and England through residency.

However, The Rugby Paper has reported that Wales boss Wayne Pivac is ready to 'revise his fly-half pecking order' to include the talented playmaker. What a difference a year makes.

With Gareth Anscombe and Rhys Patchell suffering long-term injuries, Wales need of a quality fly-half is clear for all to see.

But Sheedy, for now, just wants to concentrate on Bristol Bears finishing the season strongly.

“Whatever happens after that happens. I get asked this question a fair bit and my answer doesn’t really change." said Sheedy.

"My focus is on playing well for Bristol. I want to keep winning, keep climbing the table, and the rest will take care of itself.

“If I play well for Bristol then other honours will happen, but we’ll cross that bridge if it comes.”

Chapman represented Scotland in the U20s Six Nations and earned selection for the Junior World Championship in France He was added to the Cherry & Whites first team squad for the 2019/20 season and with that his stock has continued to rise. Gregor Townsend should and probably is keeping a close eye.
