His maternal grandfather was German actor Albert Lieven, who appeared in  Due to his 60 England cap, the only way the fly-half can qualify for Germany is if he plays for the country in the 2020 Olympics sevens qualifiers, to be held in 2019.

Kvesic was born in Iserlohn, Germany, where his father was posted with the British Army. He is of Croatian descent on his father's side and Polish on his mother's. The flanker represented England at international level and played for several youth representative sides before making his debut for the senior team in 2013.

Although born in Aschaffenburg, Germany, the prop was raised in Doncaster and played his junior rugby at Doncaster Knights, before moving to Yorkshire Carnegie's academy, making his senior debut in 2014. On 17 April 2015 he joined Northampton Saints in 2015 and has since won six England caps.

The Canada international, who appeared at the 2019 World Cup, was born in Germany and actually represented their U18 side.

The former England U20 and current Italy international was born in Rinteln, Germany in the British Military Hospital. The 27-year-old is of Italian descent and qualifies to play for Italy through his paternal grandparents and his father Carlo. His mother, Barbara, is English. However, he'd be able to play for Germany since he was born there.
