Round 3: Six Nations team of the week after the third weekend of action, which saw Ireland, France and Wales pick up wins against England, Italy and Scotland Respectively.
Fullback: ROB KEARNEY - Ireland
Awarded man-of-the-match for his performance, it wasn’t without error but it was an excellent display in the main; two clean breaks, three defenders beaten and very good in the air
Winger: GEORGE NORTH - Wales
Ended a tough week on a high, scoring Wales's 200th Six Nations try as he supported Owen Watkins's superb long-range break and was on hand to complete double with a well-taken score midway through second half. North also achieved a turnover. A fine return.
Centre: MATHIEU BASTAREAUD - France
The biggest back in the tournament. It often took two or three English defenders to stop him. The centre was always a danger.
Centre: HADLEIGH PARKES - Wales
Took advantage of joke tackling to score his third try in five Tests for Wales, but what really impressed about him was his expert decision-making. He gave Wales the direction they needed, a thinking player who managed the game well.
Winger: JACOB STOCKDALE - Ireland
He is prolific, the Six Nations top try scorer now has six tries in the Championship. His international record stands at 10 tries in eight internationals. He also produced the two moments that defined the first half of the match, intercepting Peter Horne’s pass for a try and grabbing a second with lovely footwork.
Fly-half: JOHNNY SEXTON - Ireland
Once again had the abrasive running game and is not afraid to make contact. Also much better off the tee this weekend.
Scrum-half: MAXIME MACHENAUD - France
The Racing scrum-half was identified by Eddie Jones as France’s danger man and so it proved. One thumping tackle on May.
Prop: CIAN HEALY - Ireland
The prop forward was a linchpin of the Irish scrum that gained parity throughout and defended well
Hooker: GUILHEM GUIRADO - France
An important figure in the set piece and loose; led by example with another wholehearted display of heavy industry.
Prop: TADHG FURLONG - Ireland
A fine shift on his return from hamstring trouble shored up Ireland's scrum.
Lock: JAMES RYAN - Ireland
His 7th cap but he looks born to international rugby. Ireland’s top ball carrier with 15, along with being the top tackler on 13. Fumbled a 9th minute pass backwards and knocked on in the 37thminute, but these are minor aberrations in a fine performance.
Lock: JONNY GRAY - Scotland
A typical hard-working performance from the Glasgow man as he did the dirty work he enjoys so much.
Flanker: COURTNEY LAWES - England
Important figure in lineouts and after Hughes left he was England’s best ball-carrier before going to the second row.
Flanker: YACOUBA CAMARA - France
He made some rampaging runs in the first half and gave the English back row an uncomfortable evening.
Number 8: TAULUPE FALETAU - Wales
A decent first outing as skipper. Hit Tomasso Allan so hard with one tackle that were the Italian a car he would have needed a panel or two replacing. Some good carrying in the second half and successfully coaxed his side past the winning post.
