Connacht Rugby have announced the signing of second-row forward Joe Maksymiw from Leicester Tigers.
Academy graduate Maksymiw, who is Irish qualified, came through junior rugby at Loughborough to make 12 senior appearances for Tigers as well as gaining senior experience in loan spells with Leicester Lions, Loughborough Students and Doncaster.
The 22-year-old said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time with Leicester and would like to thank them for developing me as a player over the past few years. I know there is huge ambition within Connacht Rugby to bring further success to the province and I hope to contribute to that next season.”
