Transfer News: Premiership club table monster offer for Quade Cooper

Mercurial playmaker Quade Cooper has reportedly been speaking to Premiership side Harlequins over a potential move to South-West London, according to The Rugby Paper.

Neil Fissler has revealed in his weekly column that the 70-cap Wallaby has told friends that Quins have approached him over a move.

The 31-year-old, who is the cousin of Saracens winger Sean Maitland, will be out of contract later this year as he only signed a one-year contract when he joined the Melbourne Rebels.

Cooper would be the clubs marquee signing, replacing their other high-profile Wallaby James Horwill, who hangs up his boots at the end of the season.

It’s expected if he joins that Cooper would become Quins highest paid player, surpassing Danny Care, Chris Robshaw and Mike Brown, who all earn £320,000 per season.
