Exeter Chiefs are giving a trial to former Western Force back-rower Onehunga Havili but could run into problems signing the Tongan international.
The 22-year-old, who has won two international caps thus far, is playing for Queensland country in Australia’s National Rugby Championship after leaving Force.
The Rugby Paper nevertheless has reported today that he needs to acquire more caps before he can qualify for a United Kingdom work permit.
Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter however remains keen to take an extended look at the powerful ball player who can play in the back-row or on the wing.
