The Rugby Paper has reported today that Newcastle Falcons are edging closer to confirming the signing of Gloucester centre Andy Symons.
The 26-year-old moved to Kingsholm two years ago from Worcester Warriors after opting not to take up an offer from London Irish following their relegation.
Symonds won the ITM Cup in New Zealand with Tasman Makos and has also played for Leicester Tigers and Doncaster Knights.
He kicked off his career with Saracens amateurs and Old Albanians while his brother Matt is currently playing for Wasps.
It’s reported that he will be a replacement for Juan Pablo Socino, who is reportedly joining Edinburgh in the summer.
