US Open: 6 Rugby Stars Who Are Actually Really Good at Golf

​The 2019 US Open has thrown up some exciting moments as the world’s finest golfers face off for supremacy, but could any professional rugby stars hold their own in the tournament?

Well, no probably not… but golf (even more than Fortnite) is still the choice hobby of many and there are plenty who have proven that they know their way around a fairway in the past.

Here are six players who have showcased their golfing skills in the past.

1. Mike Tindall 

 including the On Course Foundation – and has improved on his 18 handicap remarkably since his retirement in 2014. The former England and Barbarians man now plays off a handy 10.

2. Gavin Hastings

Former Scottish fullback Hastings – also known as “Big Gav” – is regularly mentioned as on the best rugby players to pull on a Scotland shirt. A Cambridge graduate – Gavin is a regular attendee at the Wentworth and Scottish Open Pro-Ams.
