James Haskell turns to Partridge after England snub

Wasps flanker James Haskell turned to Alan Partridge for inspiration as he dealt with his omission from Eddie Jones’ 36-man England squad Thursday.

Haskell, who toured New Zealand with the British & Irish Lions, was the headline casualty as when the Aussie unveiled his squad to face Argentina on Nov. 11.

Shortly the squad announcement, however, Haskell posted a short video clip on social media of fictional comedy character Partridge stating: “Catch the train to London, stopping at rejection, disappointment, back-stabbing central and shattered-dreams parkway.”
