Lions and Scotland fullback Stuart Hogg was reunited with an old pal at the Lions gathering in London today.
The Scotland and Glasgow Warriors fullback was the youngest player on tour in Australia four years ago and was tasked with taking care of BIL the Lion.
“It’s been a long four years without him.” Hogg said.

“It’s good to see him, he’s looking well. There’s a lot of good memories. I was proud to see him sitting at the side of the pitch for every game, I was like a proud father.”
This year, second-row superstar Maro Itoje will be the guardian of the Lion.
Maro Itoje will have the honour of carrying ‘BIL’, the Lions’ mascot, on tour, as youngest player. It was Hogg in 2013 and Earls in 2009.
