WATCH: This is how George Ford’s Australia tour ended before it even got started

England fly-half George Ford is almost definitely out of the tour of Australia following injury against Saracens while playing for Leicester Tigers in the Premiership final.

Making his final appearance for Tigers, the number 10 was forced off the field after just 23 minutes in what was a reoccurrence of an ankle injury suffered earlier in the season.

He is the latest player to be ruled out following the withdrawals of both Henry Slade and Manu Tuilagi.

THREE POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS FOR ENGLAND:

#1. Charlie Atkinson

  • Age: 20
  • Club: Wasps

Atkinson has impressed in the Wasps first-team recently, and has been part of England’s shadow squad for the 2021 Six Nations. Rugby runs in the family for this talented number 10 with Dad Ian playing for Tynedale RFC, Northumberland and also having England U18 trials.
