“A joke” – The 2022 World XV has been named – and fans hate it

Dubbed the best team in the world right now; World Player of the Years nominees Antoine Dupont (France), Maro Itoje (England), Michael Hooper and Samu Kerevi (both Australia) have all been selected.

Those players were put forward by a selection panel made up of Maggie Alphonsi (England), Fiona Coghlan (Ireland), Thierry Dusautoir (France), George Gregan (Australia), Richie McCaw (New Zealand), Brian O’Driscoll (Ireland), Melodie Robinson (New Zealand), John Smit (South Africa), and Clive Woodward (England).

Below, we look at the team that has been reported to be in their ‘dream XV’ with a number of big names such as Siya Kolisi and Alun Wyn Jones missing out.
