Reports from France suggest that the Wales center, 31, has secured a lucrative deal surpassing £300,000 annually.

Speculation had been rife about North’s potential move to the Pro D2 side, and now, according to French outlet Sud Ouest, the deal is sealed, with a reported monthly contract value of €30,000 (£26,000).

Notably, fellow Wales international Tomas Francis, formerly of the Ospreys, is already plying his trade with Provence. As the rugby landscape undergoes changes, other members of Wales’ World Cup squad, including Tomos Williams, Gareth Davies, Rio Dyer, Nicky Smith, Mason Grady, and Kieran Hardy, face the expiration of their contracts at the end of the season.

The stage is set for a dynamic shift in the rugby transfer market, and all eyes are on these Welsh stars as they navigate their contractual futures.

Nigel Owen’s law changes for 2024:

#1. Less TMO

Owens wrote: “We should aim for good performances that facilitate good games. In my opinion, perfect has become the enemy of the good because people are striving for a standard that is unachievable. A frustrating over-reliance on the TMO is one result of this fear of getting things wrong.

“Pressure is being exerted on referees by spectators, social media users, coaches, players, performance reviewers and referee managers. That is a lot of people scrutinising everything. I think we need to take a step back and make sure we pick up the things that matter.”
