Niall Annett attended an independent disciplinary hearing on Tuesday 13 September, chaired by Sam Hillas KC (Chair) sitting with Daniel Gore and Olly Kohn.
Annett received a red card for acts contrary to good sportsmanship, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.27, for running some distance to get involved in a melee during the match against Bristol Bears on 10 September. Annett accepted the charge.
He received a two-week ban and will miss the following two games:
17 September v Sale Sharks
23 September v Wasps
Annett said after the game on Twitter: “Just want to apologise to everyone associated with Bath.
“Not how I saw my first game going and deeply embarrassed and disappointed in myself. Players, staff, fans and everyone else associated, sorry for my actions.”
