England suffer another major blow as back-rower pulls out

England flanker Sam Underhill is the latest player to withdraw from the England squad for the Guinness Six Nations with a hip injury.

Wasps’ Jack Willis has been called up to Eddie Jones’ side for the tournament.

Yesterday, second-row Launchbury dropped out after suffering a leg injury while Marler has withdrew for personal reasons.

Head coach Eddie Jones has called up Charlie Ewels and Tom West to join the tournament squad ahead of opener against Scotland on February 6.

“Always grateful for the opportunity so not an easy decision, but want to do right by my family in these crazy times and won’t be meeting up with the squad for this tournament,” wrote Marler.

“Look forward to watching the team rip in. Go well.”
