England and Wasps legend Lawrence Dallaglio has overlooked Danny Cipriani for his player of the season so far.
The 46-year-old instead opted for one of Exeter Chiefs main stars.
“If Cipriani was the player of the month, then Exeter’s Henry Slade is for me the player of the season.” wrote Dallaglio in The Times.
“His footwork, pace and handling have been everything you would want from a 13 — and I hope we can agree that is now his best position.
“Good news for Eddie Jones but then who should he play inside him? A midfield trio of Ford (or Cipriani)-Farrell-Slade doesn’t look right.
“So if Slade plays No 13 then who is inside centre? Yet again, the central question for an England coach becomes the centre question.”
