Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has sacked coach Diego Dominguez and replaced him with Mike Ford.
French rugby site Rugbyrama broke the news on Monday.
Ford was added to the coaching staff of the French giants less than a month ago as a backline coach to try and improve their struggling season. He was previously Director of Rugby at Bath in England but was sacked after a disappointing Premiership season last year.
“Toulon is the greatest club in Europe, it is an honour for me,” Ford is quoted as saying on the Top 14 club’s official Facebook page.
