Gallagher Premiership team of the midweek – Round 19

Fly-half: Marcus Smith (Harlequins): He was the stand-out performer for Quins with 16 points, made up of two tries and three conversions. Eased past 500 points for his club in the process, the second youngest in the Premiership ever to do so behind Jonny Wilkinson.


Scrum-half: Andy Uren (Bristol Bears) – Combined with Callum Sheedy well to up the pace of the game which helped the Bears attack breach the Northampton defence. Strong in support of Ben Earl’s break to score his try.


Loosehead-prop: Valery Morozov (Sale Sharks) – The Russian powerhouse scored a very important first half try and tackled relentlessly, landing 10 and missing zero.


Hooker: Harry Thacker (Bristol Bears) – He may have failed to play in Semi Radradra when he should have, but it was a performance that had everything. Strong in defence, making twelve tackles, and impressive in the set piece winning twelve lineouts. Capped a fine performance with a try.


Tighthead-prop: Kyle Sinckler (Bristol Bears) – The England star played a big part in two scrum penalties which changed the game. He was also strong in defence making 12 tackles.
