Gloucester head coach Laurie Fisher has left the Premiership club
It comes two days after the Aussie said he needed to “make room for someone else”
He met Gloucester officials on Monday and it was mutually agreed to leave
Gloucester have confirmed that head coach Laurie Fisher has left the club with immediate effect.
Fisher met with club officials over the past 48 hours and it was mutually agreed that he would leave his position.
“Gloucester would like to place on record its thanks for Laurie’s hard work and commitment during his time at the club, and would like to wish him well in his future endeavours,” read a club statement.“The club will be making no further comment on the matter.”
Fisher tweeted after Saturday’s crushing late loss to Harlequins that it was; “Time to make room for someone else.”
Unbelievable capitulation. Clearly not good enough. My responsibility. Time to make room for someone else.
