“Gutted” – Sale Sharks confirm departures, including England international

Sale Sharks have confirmed that forwards Curtis Langdon and Cameron Neild will leave the club at the end of the current season.

They will both join former boss Steve Diamond at Worcester Warriors.

Hooker-turned-flanker Neild has been at the club since 2013, when he joined the Sharks Academy after leaving Manchester Grammar School.

He made his first team debut the following year and he has gone on to make more than 130 appearances for the club, scoring six tries.

Langdon has made 89 appearances for Sharks, scoring 14 tries, since he joined the club’s academy from London Irish in August 2016.

He made his first start against Saracens that season, scoring his first try against Leicester Tigers.

Both players played key roles as Sharks sealed a third-place finish in the 2020/21 Premiership season, with Langdon’s form leading to a call-up to the full England squad in the summer of 2021 for games against USA and Canada.
