Head coach Gregor Townsend has been dealt a triple blow ahead of Scotland’s NatWest 6 Nations clash against France with Richie Gray, Duncan Taylor and Byron McGuigan all ruled out.
Lock Gray has struggled with a calf injury and missed Scotland’s defeat to Wales on Saturday, opting to remain with club side Toulouse in a bid to get fit.

Townsend will also be forced into at least one change to his starting XV this weekend, with McGuigan also unavailable.
The winger, who has lit up the Aviva Premiership with Sale Sharks this season, collected just his third Test cap in Cardiff but a hamstring injury will prevent him from adding to that this weekend.
Meanwhile Saracens’ Duncan Taylor has also been ruled out with a head injury, but fellow centre Alex Dunbar is hoping to make it.
