Wales rugby player and “proud traveller” Samson Lee has had his planning application for a site housing six static caravans approved.
The Scarlets prop will move himself and his family to land near Llangennech, Llanelli, next to the A4138.
Carmarthenshire council had originally deferred the application for a site visit but has now approved the plans.
A planning committee report said Mr Lee’s family had “longstanding multi-generation links” with the area.
As well as the static caravans, the application included the building of an access road as well as landscaping on the site.
