It was a telling sign that Bath’s talismanic nine against Bristol was unable to make any impact upon the game and his reliable box kicking was not on the mark. A stat that summed up how much the hosts dominated the ball was that Spencer only made 15 passes in his 53 minutes on the field. He looked lively in the opening minutes, but the game was soon gone in a flash. Despite currently being odds on to make the squad, his current form is shocking.
