5. Jonah Lomu
Despite being retired for a number of years, Lomu signed for the French third division side Marseille Vitrolles, the club announced on its website in 2009. The 34-year-old, who’d make seven appearances in his short stint, started his first match at centre then moved to number 8, the position he played as a youngster in New Zealand.
