Back in 2015, Schonert was playing for Worcester Warriors in their 48-18 loss to Saracens in London.
In a tweet, Schonert told Saracens flanker Maro Itoje to “check them studs mate”.
But he later acknowledged that he incurred the injury accidentally, tweeting, “Was just unlucky, but I know it wasn’t intentional. Was such a privilege to play at Twickenham”.
