Given that he also responded to the moniker ‘Uncle Fester’, it’s apparent that the renowned Irish hooker’s lack of hair played a role in inspiring his nicknames. Wood’s bald pate, mischievous grin, and fearless style of play became emblematic during the 1990s and 2000s.
6. George Kruis (Shnooze or Shnoz)
“Because his chat is so boring it will make you fall asleep,” according to England teammate Joe Marler. Seems a bit harsh!
