A Question Of Sport’s Matt Dawson has been axed alon with Sue Barker and Phil Tufnell for all future shows.
Barker had presented the series since 1997, keeping up the show’s tradition of having a former sports star in the hot seat.
However that tradition is rumoured to be ending after 51 years on air, with a comedian coming on board to ‘make a cross between Have I Got News For You and A League Of Their Own’.
Jack Whitehall is the current favourite to take over as the new host. Meanwhile, Joe Marler is rumoured to be in contention for a spot on the show as a team captain along with retired footballers Jermaine Jenas and Peter Crouch.
When approached by RUCK, a BBC rep said ‘no decision has been made yet’.
