But despite the hype, Pollock’s current earnings are still a long way off rugby’s elite. According to Ruck, his latest Northampton Saints deal saw his salary rise to just over £100,000 per year, before international bonuses.
With his new England central contract included, his total earnings are estimated at around £250,000 annually, still far below the sport’s top earners.
That gap explains why Hearn has stepped in — openly admitting he was shocked by how little Pollock earns and aiming to dramatically increase his off-field income through sponsorships and exposure.
