Martin Johnson has had the same haircut for nearly 20 years. Owen Farrell has probably had the same haircut his whole life. Their's is hair you could set your watch by.
But for every Johnson and Farrell there are many other individuals whose appearances have changed so much over the years you'd have to look at them twice before knowing who it is...

1. Joe Marler

Despite looking a bit older than his teammates, Marler didn't really stand out in his younger days. Once promoted to the Harlequins first team, he covered himself in tattoos, dyed his hair, shaved in his iconic mullet and grew a viking like beard.

2. Sebastien Chabal

'That's not him?' - I'm sure that's what you're thinking. However, the France legend - known as the Caveman throughout his career - was once a lot more well groomed. The definition of unrecognisable.

3. Mike Tindall

Beautiful blonde barnet and perfectly shaped nose. Not how many rugby fans will remember the England centre from his playing days. Luckily, he got the nose fixed after he finished his rugby career.

4. Tom Wood

The England flanker has gone from looking like an everyday bloke to the reincarnation of Tarzan with his longer hair and beard. His new manly look is supported by his new side hustle in which he has taken up woodworking,. Wood by name, wood by nature.

5. Dylan Hartley

Long blonde hair and chubby cheeks, the hooker has grown into his face, got a new haircut and added a perfectly trimmed moustache. Hartley is clearly a fine wine.
