5 Wales Stars Who Could Move to the Premiership Next Season

Here are five Wales stars that could light up the Gallagher Premiership, and the clubs they could potentially sign for if they left the United Rugby Championship.

In a short space of time, Rio Dyer has captured the attention of Welsh rugby fans. The exciting young winger has been making a name for himself, after scoring on his international debut in last Autumn's match against the All Blacks. A current prospect at the Dragons, Dyer's style of play would suit perfectly in the famous quarters of Harlequins.

Fast-paced high octane attack, with deceptive strength providing a powerful ball carrier, the 'Dyer fire' is a crowd attraction at Rodney Parade. Look no further than his try against Munster, to see how the 23-year-old entertains the Newport crowd.

Exhilarating line breaks, and the ability to step an opponent in a phone-box. Harlequins would certainly welcome Dyer to the Twickenham Stoop, and incorporate the Welshman into their flying phases of attacking rugby. 2. Mason Grady - Cardiff Blues --> Sale Sharks

The dynamic Mason Grady made his Wales debut against England, and proved to be a handful for Steve Borthwick's side. Unpredictable in attack, Grady combines a powerful first step to explode into contact, and the tactical prowess to keep the ball alive. Sale Sharks would benefit from signing of the centre, as they expect the departure of Manu Tuilagi.

Tuilagi is linked with a move to France come the end of the season, with Parisians Racing 92 leading the fight for his signature. There will be a sizeable gap in the Sharks midfield when the England international leaves, and 20-year-old Grady would be the perfect replacement at the AJ Bell.

The Rugby Paper has previously linked Ross Moriarty with a move to Sandy Park, and the signs are all there for the transfer to take place. Exeter Chiefs are in the midst of a mass player exodus, due to the salary cap regulations not allowing the Devonshire club to keep all their top stars on high-end contracts. Multiple first team forwards are set to depart, making space in the back row for Moriarty's arrival.

Sam Simmonds and Dave Ewers are both departing at the end of the season, with the 28-year-old looking to be a suitable replacement. Moriarty would also become the latest Welshman to join the Exeter Chiefs pack, and join fellow countrymen Christ Tshiuzna and Daffyd Jenkins.

A defensive workhorse who never shies away from contact, Moriarty would be well-equipped to thrive in Exeter. The Chiefs focus a lot of success to start from the set-piece, and Moriarty is the ideal signing for that. A disruptive mauler and dominant in the air, the Dragons flanker has the skillset to join Rob Baxter's side.

If a Bath fan was told this time last year, that they would be signing Scotland's talisman Finn Russell for the 2023/24 season, they would have laughed it off. The same goes for Liam Williams, however, Bath are on the cusp of a resurgence, which makes this an exciting transfer to consider.

Thanks to their new ownership and structure, Bath have been able to offer Finn Russell a reported Premiership record of between £850,000 to £1million a year. Liam Williams could follow suit, and join the club as a high-profile veteran, to see out his playing days in style. The seemingly unlikely transfer, becomes more and more plausible when further broken down.

The Welsh RFU implemented players to have made a minimum of 25 national team caps, before leaving a Welsh club if they wish to pursue their international careers. Liam Williams has long surpassed this, and with 83 caps, he may be tempted for a lucrative offer and a move to Somerset. Reports have emerged that Williams is looking for a move away from Cardiff, with Top 14's Lyon the front-runners to sign him.

Gareth Anscombe's injury history makes him the textbook contender for a move out of Wales. An incredibly talented player, Anscombe was unfortunate to miss the 2019 Rugby World Cup due to an ACL injury. These issues re-occurred with the Osprey unable to comfortably gain momentum and establish himself back in the Wales set-up.

Anscombe is expecting to return soon for Ospreys, after he suffered a shoulder injury against Australia in last seasons Autumn Internationals. Maintained fitness could see him selected for the 2023 Rugby World Cup, however Anscombe would be looking at his guaranteed future, and getting contracts on the table after the competition.

A move to Saracens would be good for the New Zealand born back, and re-unite him with Wales teammate Nick Tompkins. Anscombe would benefit from joining Saracens, as the playing demands would not be too great. Owen Farrell would occupy the number 10 jersey, with Anscombe making off the bench appearances at either fly half or full back. The 31-year-old would also get the opportunity to feature from the start, with the calendar's busy European season and international breaks providing plentiful opportunities to the Saracens rotational players.
