Some players enhanced their reputations this weekend. Others would probably prefer the Gallagher PREM had taken a week off.
Bath shipped an astonishing 71 points at Northampton, Bristol were bullied by Saracens, and even Exeter's narrow victory over Newcastle came with a few embarrassing moments.
Nobody expects perfection every week. But there's having an off day, and then there's getting absolutely torn apart.
One England international even managed to earn a 1/10 rating. That's not a performance review. That's a cry for help.
Here are five players who won't be rushing to watch the highlights.
5. Henry Slade – Exeter Chiefs
Slade scored a try and kicked some important points, but let's not pretend this was vintage Henry Slade.
The England centre produced a couple of moments that would have looked out of place in a Sunday morning pub game.
His loose offload helped Christian Wade complete his hat-trick, while a forward pass cost Exeter another try.

Henry Slade endured a mixed afternoon despite helping Exeter Chiefs edge past Newcastle Red Bulls.
Yes, Exeter eventually beat Newcastle 34-28. Yes, Slade played his part.
But when you're an experienced England international, the basics shouldn't be optional.
Steve Borthwick was watching from the stands. Not exactly the audition Slade would have had in mind.
4. Ross Molony – Bath
Where do you even start with Bath's defence?
Northampton scored 11 tries. Eleven. At some point, somebody has to make a tackle.
Molony certainly didn't cover himself in glory.
Alex Coles went straight through him early on, and things hardly improved from there.
The Irish lock managed just three metres from five carries before being hauled off in the second half.
RugbyPass handed him a 4/10 rating, which was hardly generous but difficult to argue with.
Bath's forwards were bullied, their defence was a shambles, and Molony looked completely out of his depth at times.
3. Sam Worsley – Bristol Bears
There's no shame in losing at Saracens. There is, however, something pretty alarming about barely laying a glove on them.
Bristol arrived with plenty of confidence and left having scored just seven points.
Worsley had an afternoon to forget, receiving a 4/10 in RUCK's player ratings.
The young fly-half struggled to get Bristol moving as Saracens dictated the contest.
He's got talent, and one bad game won't define him. But this was a reminder that the Gallagher PREM can be a brutal place to learn your trade.
Back to the drawing board.
2. George Taylor – Bristol Bears
Three out of ten. You don't need to be a rugby expert to work out that's not particularly good.
Taylor endured a rotten afternoon as Bristol were comfortably beaten 30-7 by Saracens.
RUCK awarded him just 3/10, making him one of the lowest-rated players of the weekend.
The Bears offered precious little going forward, and Taylor was among those who failed to make an impression.
Bristol had looked exciting in the opening rounds, but this was a reality check.
One defeat doesn't make them a bad side. But performances like this won't have Pat Lam sleeping particularly well.
1. Ollie Lawrence – Bath
One. Out. Of. Ten.
I've seen some savage player ratings over the years, but this takes some beating.

Ollie Lawrence was handed a brutal 1/10 rating by Somerset Live following Bath's heavy defeat to Northampton Saints.
Lawrence came off the bench against Northampton and somehow managed to make an already dreadful defensive performance look even worse.
The England centre was cut apart defensively before picking up a yellow card for hands in the ruck.
Northampton ran riot, eventually putting 71 points past the reigning champions.
Somerset Live handed Lawrence a brutal 1/10 in their post-match player ratings, describing his appearance as an "awful cameo".
The worrying thing is that Lawrence wasn't even on the pitch for the full 80 minutes.
He's far too good a player to be producing performances like that.
With England's autumn internationals approaching, Steve Borthwick will be expecting considerably better.
