Tom Curry stood down with immediate effect as late team change confirmed

Rugby News
Tom Curry
England star Tom Curry has been forced to withdraw from Sale Sharks' starting line-up due to illness, with a late reshuffle confirmed ahead of kick-off.
The 28-year-old flanker had been named to start but will now play no part in the contest after falling ill.
Sale Sharks have confirmed that Christ Tshiunza will step into the starting XV, with Sam Dugdale promoted to the replacements bench.

Tom Curry ruled out through illness

The late change is a frustrating setback for Curry, who has established himself as one of England's most important forwards under Steve Borthwick.
Renowned for his relentless work rate, fierce tackling and ability to disrupt opposition possession, Curry is never an easy player to replace.
However, Tshiunza now has an opportunity to impress from the opening whistle.
The versatile forward brings plenty of physicality and athleticism to the back row, while Dugdale provides additional cover among the replacements.
There has been no indication that Curry's withdrawal is linked to an injury, with illness given as the reason for his absence.
With England's autumn internationals approaching, Borthwick will hope the withdrawal proves nothing more than a short-term setback.
