England back-rower confirms short term move to Bristol Bears

The 19-year-old rising star enjoyed a landmark moment last weekend, earning her senior international debut for the Red Roses in their emphatic 84-7 victory over Scotland in the Women’s Six Nations.

Having joined Bristol ahead of the current campaign, Short has already featured eight times in the PWR, underlining her rapid development at club level.

Head coach Scott Lawson was full of praise for the young forward, describing her as an “outstanding young talent”.

“She has really seized her opportunity this season, stepping up brilliantly when the squad was stretched by international call-ups and injuries,” Lawson said.

“She’s shown maturity beyond her years and we believe she has an exceptionally high ceiling.”

Capable of operating across the back five of the scrum, Short’s versatility continues to impress, and she has been named among the replacements for England’s upcoming Six Nations clash with Wales this Saturday.
