Rugby supporters are less than impressed by the post-match interview with Owen Farrell's following their 40-24 defeat against Wales at the Principality Stadium.

Controversial tries from Josh Adams and Liam Williams helped Wales open a 17-14 half-time lead in Cardiff, with Anthony Watson responding for England.

Those tries helped Wales record their highest points tally against England as they followed up victories against Ireland and Scotland.

After the game, Sonka McLaughlin, in the opinion of fans 'attempted to goad' the England captain into criticising the officials following the controversial decisions in the opening 40

4 English Lions contenders who flopped in round 3 of the Six Nations

1. Owen Farrell (England)

As captain has to bear responsibility for failing to get a handle on England’s terrible discipline. A lot better playing performance by attacking the gainline.

2. Jonny Hill

Clumsy clear out in ruck led to penalty that opened the door for Wales' third score. Replaced in the 58th minute.

3. Maro Itoje

Some of the decisions were debatable but no player can afford to cough up five penalties. Discipline was already a concern. This was close to unforgivable.

4. George Ford

One pass to Slade was trademark Ford and he was part of backline that showed enterprise but kicked poorly. He's not a better player than Marcus Smith or Joe Simmonds in any way.
