Sale Sharks have announced that Tom Roebuck has signed a new two-year contract with the Gallagher PREM side.
The 25-year-old, who came through Sale’s academy system, has established himself as a key figure for the Salford-based side; since making his debut almost a decade ago, he has scored 54 tries in 114 appearances.
Roebuck’s new agreement with the club will keep him there until the end of the 2028/29 campaign. He has yet to feature in Sale’s opening three PREM matches this season after suffering a calf injury, but his future is settled.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Roebuck made it clear that staying at Sale was an easy decision, given his connections to the club.
“For me, Sale Sharks is home,” he said.
“It's the club I supported as a child; it's where I've grown up, and it's all I know. I love it here, and I couldn't see myself playing anywhere else
"I also get to play with a group of mates who I have grown up playing with, and that's incredibly special.
Roebuck has earned 12 caps for England since his international debut against Japan in 2024 and has further strengthened his reputation as one of England’s best backline options, scoring on three occasions in the 2026 Six Nations.
Sale Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson welcomed the contract extension, praising the versatile backline player's development since 2018 and his importance to the club.
“Tom is one of our own, and he’s developed into one of the very best wingers in the PREM,” Sanderson added.
“We are so happy that he is sticking with us because he’s a massive part of how we want to play going forward.”
