1. Dan Robson (Wasps)
Scrum-half and stand-in captain Robson was one of five try scorers in a stunning comeback win against London Irish that continued Wasps' mini-revival. Splendid chips to set up scores for Ben Harris and Jacob Umaga, he also kicked brilliantly and scored a try of his own.
Robson, who was leading Wasps in the absence of Joe Launchbury on England duty and the injured co-vice-captain Thomas Young, was given his first and second caps by Jones in last year's Six Nations, but none since then.
The playmaker is looking back to his best and would unquestionably add some much-needed dynamism to England in the scrum-half position.
2. Elliott Stooke (Bath Rugby)
His work rate is phenomenal. Sunday against Bristol Bears was no different. The 26-year-old is like a rechargeable battery which is drained each game but recharged to 100% ahead of the next fixture. He certainly engaged beast mode on this occasion!
Stooke has represented England throughout the age groups, including a call-up to the England Saxons in January 2014. A first England cap would be well-deserved.
3. Sam Simmonds (Exeter Chiefs)
Exceptional in defeat against Harlequins. Right now, we can only imagine him combining with Tom Curry and Sam Underhill. Hopefully, his excellent form gives him more chances in the England shirt. Fine game, plenty big hits and always makes the hard yards.
Last season, Simmonds was again expected to kick-on - particularly with a World Cup looming large on the horizon - but a serious knee injury sustained in the home game against Worcester Warriors meant he would be sidelined for much of the campaign.
But now looking back to his best, the prospect of properly unleashing Simmonds on Test rugby off the back of that England front five really is one to savour if Eddie Jones is brave enough to make it happen.
4. Sam Bedlow (Bristol Bears)
The centre had one of his best games for the club in a key battle against Bath. He carried hard into heavy traffic and tackled like a demon. He is getting better every game. Bit of an unsung hero at Ashton Gate.
5. Marcus Smith (Harlequins)
Put down a significant marker against Exeter with a man of the match performance.
Bursting on to the scene as an exceptionally talented 18-year-old fresh out of school, it seems like attention on Smith has quietly dwindled.
However, the playmaker is showing impressive maturation and rounding out the areas of his game that may have come in for criticism previously.
