Gabby Logan's Rugby Star Son Can Play For THREE Six Nations Teams

The broadcaster was speaking on the SW7 Academy podcast with former Wales captain Sam Warburton when she shared the story from the funeral of her father, Welsh football legend Terry Yorath, who passed away in January following a short illness.

"I'm very proud of my Welsh heritage and recently we lost my dad," Logan explained.

"We had a lot of Welsh people at the service and a fantastic choir came up from Cardiff and there was 50 of them and they'd had a pint or two and were asking Reuben if he'd consider switching allegiances."

Despite the recruitment attempt, Logan said her son has always considered himself Scottish.

"To be fair to Reuben, he's been Scottish since he was born."

The 20-year-old Sale Sharks back-rower is eligible for several nations. While he has Welsh heritage through his mother, he qualifies for Scotland through his father, former Scotland international Kenny Logan.

Reuben has also represented England at Under-18 level, creating a slightly awkward situation for his proud Scottish dad.

Speaking about that experience, Logan joked: "Kenny was not quite sure how to cheer for him that day.

"He used to just shout, 'come on Reuben' and I'm like, 'you can't just say come on Reuben' and he was like, 'I can't say come on England'."
