Jac Morgan receives an outpouring of support following heartbreaking announcement

The British & Irish Lions back-row paid an emotional tribute on Sunday, revealing he had suddenly lost his “cousin and best friend” last week. Harri, vice-captain of Brynamman RFC, was described as someone who “meant the world” to Morgan and his family.

“This week I suddenly lost my cousin and best friend Harri,” Morgan wrote on Instagram. “He loved so much about life, but his greatest joy was playing rugby for Brynamman.”

Morgan also shared how he honoured Harri by playing for Ospreys against the Sharks, saying it felt important to “make him proud” in the game his cousin loved.

Messages of support quickly poured in from across rugby. Wales teammate Joe Hawkins wrote: “Thinking of you and the family mate,” while Ireland coach Aled Walters added his condolences.

Current internationals and Lions players, including Ellis Genge and Ben Earl, were among many to show their support, alongside former Wales stars.
